HDMI to Cat5 Converter

With the 7954NS01, installers can use category 5e network cable for runs of up to 125 feet or 200 feet using category 6 to connect HDMI video source material. A balanced line transmitter sends the signal to a balanced line receiver were the HDMI signal is restored and sent to the video source. This system will automatically correct for any corrupted EDID data and display HDCP with it’s built in line driver and diagnostics capabilities.

HDMI Line Driver & Diagnostic Unit

The 7956 HDMI line driver & diagnostics unit corrects for corrupt data from inferior loading on the HDCP and EDID communication channel. Many failures of HDMI signals are caused by inconsistency of hardware, lack of knowledge by the end-user and excess transmission distances. Many of the failures are not due to long cable runs, but to the inconsistent capacitive loading on the buss which degrades the interface and limits the HDMI operation. Used primarily with cable distances less than 20 meters, the 7956 will display and correct for corrupted HDCP and EDID data that is required for the HDMI interface to function correctly. The data is automatically cleaned to its intended dynamic range supplying the much needed intelligence that the HDMI signal requires.
